ROLE SUMMARY
In line with the Pfizer Digital Operating Model, the Client Partners play a crucial role in establishing strong partnerships and developing strategies with business leaders to drive breakthroughs that change patients' lives. This role will report to the Client Partner for the Pharmaceutical Sciences line. As a Digital Product Manager, you will play a key role in shaping the overall Digital strategy for that line. In this global role, you will be working in close partnership with the user community and stakeholders across Pfizer Digital to drive projects that deliver powerful, functional, and well-integrated Digital Products that generate novel scientific insights, enhance productivity, and drive a superior user experience.
ROLE RESPONSIBILITIES
The primary responsibilities for this role include the following:
- The job holder is expected to work closely with the Client partner to develop and implement a digital strategy that aligns with the overall business objectives of the Pharmaceutical Sciences line, leveraging emerging technologies and trends to drive digital transformation.
- Provide strategic oversight, spearhead moderately complex, cross-functional projects involving multiple stakeholders, and effectively employ matrix management techniques to drive successful outcomes.
- Analyse business processes and operational workflows to understand user needs and improvement opportunities, solicit, interpret, and synthesize user requirements, and drive product design activities to translate these requirements into elegant, workable, and well-integrated Digital Products that maximise R&D value.
- Influence and communicate effectively and present complex ideas to varied stakeholders at all levels, both business and digital
- Work closely with Digital Creation Centres to communicate requirements and design solution to deliver Digital solutions to effectively address business needs.
- Define and prioritize product features, align stakeholders, manage product roadmaps and backlogs, coordinate and support user-acceptance testing, drive user adoption, evangelize products, train users, and assess business value and impact.
- Apply user-centric design principles and practices throughout the product development lifecycle, and coordinate with other product and digital teams to ensure a seamless, frictionless, end-to-end user experience.
- Partner with the Enterprise Product Management function to promote effective adoption of product management standards, best practices, and enterprise roadmaps across all of Pfizer
BASIC QUALIFICATIONS
- Bachelor's Degree in relevant field
- Demonstrable experience of similar roles in IT or consulting domain with particular focus on the life sciences industry
- Awareness of the system development life cycle, previous experience in strategizing and delivering Digital solutions
- Proficient in business analysis skills to identify opportunities to define, structure, lead and deliver appropriate digital solutions.
- Effective stakeholder and matrix management at various levels and domains
- Organizational agility, understand organizational structures, policy, procedures, processes, roles & responsibilities across business and Digital groups; skilful in navigating through and working with different functional groups to get the work done.
- Self-driven and self-learning to adapt to changes or new environment using knowledge, experience, and judgement to guide teams and make decisions in ambiguous situations and/or to resolve complex situations and achieve desired results.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
- Advanced degree in computer science, data science, or another business-related discipline
- Experience in agile software development and knowledge of modern programming languages and development environments
- Knowledge of relational and non-relational database technologies for both transactional and decision support applications (normalized transactional databases, data lakes and data warehouses)
- Experience in data science, AIML, computer systems validation and delivering solutions to GxP requirements
