Reed Supply Chain & Procurement are now supporting a Manufacturing company in their search for a Procurement Manager to join the Supply Chain team, you will be overseeing the Procurement team, Suppliers and Supply Chain to mitigate commercial, financial and schedule risks within the supply base.
This Procurement Manager job is a hybrid role with 3 days per week to be based in Southend.
Procurement ManagerDuties will include;
- Management of the Procurement Team
- Overseeing suppliers
- Implement continuous improvement initiatives within the Procurement Team
- Develop and implement strategies to mitigate risks within the supply base
- UK Intercompany - Electronics, Composites and OTM trading - forecast, demand and management
- Regular team performance reporting
- Identify staff development needs and implement training plans
- Resolution of supplier and supply chain issues
- Collaborative working with other functions to support programme and business objectives
- Regular briefing to the Procurement Team with information on the Company’s performance and future plans.
- Lead by example and encourage all employees to conduct their activities in accordance with all applicable laws and the Company’s standards and policies, including environmental, safety and health policies
- Develop and implement appropriate processes to maintain compliance to legal, regulatory and statutory obligations
Requirements;
A proven background in a similar Procurement Manager role
Procurement Experience from a Manufacturing environment
People management experience
Excellent negotiation skills
Able to commute to Southend on a hybrid basis (3 days per week)
