We're hiring an ambitious and results-driven Supply Chain and Procurement Manager to develop the strategic and daily management of product-related procurement. It is critical in our clients' continued growth and ambition to expand their portfolio and supplier base.
The Role:
Review: You will review the current procurement process and procedures, ensuring best practices are applied and developed across the business.
Demand Planning: You will be accountable for the demand planning function with stock management of finished goods.
Procurement: You will be accountable for the procurement function with raw material stock management.
Performance Drivers: Audit and recommend changes to improve the Supply Chain to manage effective KPI measures and contracted performance drivers aligned with demand planning and Procurement functions.
Negotiation: Support and be accountable for negotiating surrounding costs for procuring all site packaging, raw materials, and factored goods against business requirements, including quarterly reviews.
Responsibilities:
Strategic Planning: Lead the procurement & Supply Chain strategy via robust supplier development and management, targeting efficiencies, cost reduction and service improvements.
Analysis: Analysis and quantify current portfolio and customers' spending/trends – ongoing product performance analysis to ensure raw materials are set correctly.
Contractual reviews - Ensure supplier review of contracts and put in place contracts where not present, making sure to set KPIs and SLAs. Review contracts to mitigate against supply risk operationally and reputationally and to put pricing structures, growth volume/price breaks, and agreed contractual obligations (including lead time and MOQs) in place.
Tender processes and commodity monitoring - Set a new strategy to ensure the business can procure at the best competitive market price and is validated through expertise and knowledge in all raw material and commodity fluctuations and industry vendor base.
Education:
Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Business, or a related field.
Fully qualified in Level 5 or 6 CIPS
Experience:
- Minimum 5 years of previous experience working in a procurement role
- Experience in managing RFI, RFQ and RFP processes
- Full working knowledge of manufacturing and planning principles
- Experience with MRP systems and planning tools
- Commercial acumen and customer (trade and consumer) understanding
- Experience in New product development and Procurement
- Knowledge of packaging legislation
- Technical knowledge and Supply Chain management accreditation
- Numerate and articulate, able to communicate detailed reports to others.
- Competent in the use of Microsoft Office, & strong focus on Excel
