What is the opportunity?

You will be the Manager for Marketing Analytics within the Wealth Management Europe Marketing and Client Data Insights team.

The Market and Client Data Insights Team is responsible for providing senior management and the three segment marketing teams with the necessary market and client insight needed to run commercially impactful and efficient marketing activity and campaigns.

The team is accountable for the delivery of insightful analysis which drives increasingly smarter, efficient & effective marketing.

What will you do?

1. Data Strategy and Vision:

- Responsible for assisting in the development of a comprehensive data strategy that aligns with Marketing and the organisation's goals. This includes determining what types of data to collect, how to gather it, and how to use it to inform business decisions.

- The team will define the data and reporting framework to provide analytics and insights which will inform improvements and identify ways to achieve Marketing Objectives.

- The team will own the marketing data strategy to enable and enhance new client acquisition, client retention and intergenerational opportunities through the integration of marketing and company (e.g.: client survey & external research) data sets.

 - Responsible for segmentation, you will help shape a commercially effective lead generation marketing campaign.

- Ensure activities support and align with the Corporate Strategy for Growth

2. Data Analysis and Interpretation:

- The role will collect, analyse, and interpret data from various sources, including market trends, customer insight, and competitor activities to extract meaningful insights that can drive strategic decisions.

- Accountable for the integration of Marketing data across several internal and external sources to move to a single view of performance.

- Analyse external and internal customer data using database queries (SQL, Access, Python, R), spreadsheet (Excel) models, web analytics tools (Google), statistical analysis tools, and campaign management software tools to provide actionable insights.

3. Market Research:

- The Data and Insights Specialist will gather information about market dynamics, industry trends, and competitive landscapes. This research helps the organisation understand the market environment and identify opportunities for growth.

4. Client Insights:

- Understanding customer behaviour, preferences, and needs ensuring client data is collected, analysed, and used to enhance client relationships, tailor services, and improve customer satisfaction.

- Analyse external and internal customer data using database queries (SQL, Access, Python, R), spreadsheet (Excel) models, web analytics tools (Google), statistical analysis tools, and campaign management software tools to provide actionable insights.

5. Stakeholder Management:

- Working effectively with and informing stakeholders and senior leaderships teams at necessary stages of the overall development and delivery of the plans.

- Working with internal and external suppliers.

6. Data Quality and Governance:

- Maintaining data accuracy, consistency, and security of all Firms data and establish data governance practices and ensures that data is properly managed, protected, and compliant with relevant regulations.

- Ensure the governance, security, accuracy and compliance of marketing data and usage across RBC Brewin Dolphin including our use of 1st and 3rd party tagging and tracking deployment across the marketing landscape (cookies/pixels etc).

7. Cross-Functional Collaboration:

- Data insights will have implications across various departments including marketing, sales, product development, and operations. You will collaborate with these teams to ensure that insights are applied effectively to drive improvements.

- Work closely with PCA, RCM and B2B teams to provide the insight to inform their strategic marketing plans.

8. MarTech, Technology and Tools:

- Marketing Technology research and implementation of tools which help us understand prospects, clients and marketing campaigning.

9. Communication and Reporting:

- Assist in the building out the findings and insights to enable you to share data and insight with stakeholders in a clear and actionable manner. They will create reports, presentations, and dashboards that convey the significance of the data to both technical and non-technical audiences.

- Through effective story-telling the team will influence stakeholders across the business using internal and external data sets to provide actionable analytics to reduce marketing costs and increase ROI.

- Creators of Marketing Dashboards and deliver effective reports giving actionable insights for the broader marketing team which will help the business to make conclusions on how to make marketing reduce costs, improve agreed KPIs & improve conversion.

- Scrutinising marketing metrics, customer data, marketing pipeline, channels, as well as looking at lead conversions and maximising ROI and driving productivity. Proactively mine and investigate our marketing and client data to identify opportunities to improve performance.

- Reporting progress against targets, analysis of insights and changes made to drive overall goals.

- Responsible to gathering and reporting on Market Insight.

10. Innovation:

- Continuously seeking new approaches and methodologies for analysing data is essential for staying competitive. You will encourage innovation within the team to find novel ways to extract insights from data.

- Support larger transformation projects and campaigns, managing key workstreams and providing SME recommendations where relevant.

What do you need to succeed?

Must-have

  • Extensive work experience in marketing research, statistical or data analysis (or academic equivalent) within a Financial Institution.

  • Exceptional organisational skills and able to work independently and manage your own workload to meet deadlines.

  • High standard of written and spoken English with good numerical skills.

  • Self-sufficient and able to work on own initiative.

  • Budget Management.

  • Meticulous attention to detail, taking pride in high quality output.

  • Advanced working knowledge of the Microsoft365 suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook etc.).

  • Experience of working in a demanding environment.

  • Experience of managing deadlines and changing priorities.

  • Create core processes and manuals and ensure they are current and up to date at all times.

Nice-to-have

  • Ideally degree educated or similar.

  • Analytics qualification preferable.
