The Lord Leycester is a thriving attraction in the centre of Warwick, welcoming visitors to immerse themselves in one of the most striking and picturesque collection of timber framed medieval buildings in the country, explore the stories of Elizabethan England, find out more about the history of our unique community, or just relax in our beautiful walled garden. There are regular events and activities to enjoy, alongside a caf , shop and private hire opportunities. The resident veterans (known as Brethren) play an active part in welcoming visitors alongside staff and volunteers.
Thanks to support from The National Lottery Heritage Fund, we are just reopening for our first full season following a major development project. We have ambitious targets for the 2024 season including increased footfall, deepening engagement with current users and local communities, as well as diversifying audiences and enabling a wider range of people to participate in programmes and activities on site, as well as improved visibility.
The Marketing and Social Media Co-ordinator will be responsible for driving footfall by developing, co-ordinating and delivering the annual marketing plan to promote the Lord Leycester, as a visitor attraction, events venue and charity providing a home and community to veterans in order to meet its visitor and income targets.
This is a fixed term contract, running to August 2025, with potential to extend.
The postholder will be expected to be flexible in working arrangements and work some evenings and weekends as required.
The post is funded by The National Lottery Heritage Fund, thanks to National Lottery players.
