Marketing Assistant - Great For Your First Marketing/Communication Role

A very exciting opportunity for those looking to get into Marketing or Communications or looking for their next role!

Our client based in York have just created a new role for a Marketing and Communications Assistant to join their existing Marketing team.

This incredibly varied role will be supporting our client’s employer brand and client plans. Salary competitive with the market and depends on experience.

Options for full time Monday – Friday 9am to 5.00pm or part time but one of those days must be a Friday.

Duties and Responsibilities:

• Managing social media feeds to ensure content is well planned and engages effectively with our target audiences.
• Maintaining and updating website content, ensuring this is relevant to clients, other professionals and potential employees.
• Assisting with the creation of blogs, newspaper columns and press releases
• Monitoring and managing online reviews.
• Assisting with the organisation and promotion of internal and external events and seminars.
• Working with the Social team to ensure internal events are well planned and effectively communicated internally and externally.
• Helping to further develop the intranet portal to ensure content is relevant and reflects the employer brand and culture.

Experience Required:

• Proactive and a ‘can do’ attitude.
• An interest in design, photography and copywriting.
• The ability to master, with appropriate support, a range of marketing communications tools  such as Hootsuite, Mailchimp, Canva and our website management system, as well as develop proficiency in Photoshop, Word, Excel and analytical tools, Google and a range of social media platforms.
• Access to your own vehicle so you are able to travel between York offices to develop a rapport with different teams.
