Marketing Communications Executive Digital Marketing

I am looking for a Marketing and Communications Officer to support the Marketing department within a fantastic Kent Educational Establishment! The successful candidate will carry out an effective marketing and communications plan to attract new students, celebrate the success of current staff and students, and maintain relationships with stakeholders and suppliers. This role requires collaboration with both internal and external networks and demonstrable experience of using a website CMS, as well as tools to measure and improve the performance of digital marketing channels (i.e. GA4 and proprietary social media analytics systems).

Day to day duties of the Marketing and Communications Officer

• Undertake website and e-Marketing Communications, including editing newsletters, creating social media content, and updating external websites.
• Produce marketing collateral and publicity materials, such as brochures, posters, and flyers, and assist in organising recruitment events and conferences.
• Provide Public Relations services, including collating information for publications, managing social media channels, and maintaining a photo library.
• Support advertising duties across various media, contributing creative input to campaigns and assisting with tracking advertising performance.
• Represent and promote the College at exhibitions and events, ensuring literature and display materials are prepared and dispatched.

Required Skills of the Marketing and Communications Officer

• Experience in Marketing Communications, preferably within an education environment.
• Proven experience in creating and implementing Marketing Communications plans.
• Knowledge of the full marketing mix, including sponsorships, events, and advertising.
• Understanding of social media and digital marketing analytics.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills and IT literacy, including Microsoft Office and Web CMS systems.
• Good organisation, planning, copywriting, and proofreading skills.
• Proactive, enthusiastic, energetic, flexible, and able to work both independently and as part of a team.
