The Dolphin, Poole is a large and busy community destination that offers a wide range of retail, dining, and entertainment options for its visitors. It hosts over 100 shops, Foundry Co-Working Space, Skills and Learning, Leisure, NHS, and Restaurants.
As a Marketing and Communications Executive, you will be responsible for developing and implementing a comprehensive marketing strategy, focusing on social media that will increase awareness, footfall, and loyalty for The Dolphin. You will work closely with the Centre Manager, to plan, execute, and evaluate various marketing and social media campaigns and initiatives. You will also manage the social media channels, website, and newsletters ensuring that they are updated, relevant, and engaging. You will produce and curate high-quality videography and content that showcases the unique offerings and events at The Dolphin, as well as the stories and feedback of its customers and tenants. You will also monitor and analyse the performance and impact of your marketing activities, using data and insights to inform your decisions and recommendations.
This is a newly created role that offers a great opportunity for a successful candidate to shape the role and the marketing for a thriving shopping and leisure destination in Poole. To be considered for this role, you will need to have the following qualifications and attributes:-
- A degree in marketing, media, communications, or a related field, or equivalent work experience
- At least two years of experience in a similar role, preferably in the retail or leisure sector
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with a flair for creating engaging and persuasive content.
- Proficient in a full range of applications inc. Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Access, Outlook, Canva, Mondays, (Adobe CC Photoshop, Premier, InDesign, Illustrator preferable)
- Creative, proactive, and adaptable, with a can-do attitude and a willingness to learn
- A team player, with strong interpersonal and collaboration skills
- A passion for shopping, entertainment, and customer service
- A knowledge good of Poole and an interest in the local area and community
- A strong copywriter for PR
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
- Creative thinker with strong analytical skills
- Good organisational and time management skills with the ability to prioritise and multitask in a calm and professional manner
Working Hours - 37.5hrs
Salary - £35,000
