The Opportunity:
We are partnering with a growing B2B global events provider seeking to build the marketing team with their second marketing hire. Reporting to the Marketing Director, the Marketing Executive will enjoy a supportive environment where training will be provided, and an opportunity to develop their marketing skills in a varied and fast-paced role.
The Role:
A newly created position due to event growth, as Marketing Executive, you will bring your existing marketing skills to the table, and most importantly, a high level of enthusiasm and willingness to learn and get stuck in! Key tasks you will support with include:
- Multichannel campaign management: Leveraging your existing skills ideally in email marketing and social media, largely LinkedIn which is still at an immature stage.
- Content & Copywriting Support: With support from external Content & Copywriting resources, oversee content and copy for all channels, making recommendations for improvements.
- Newsletter management: With training, take over the management of the e-newsletter.
- Event management support: Support the Marketing Director on all event marketing, in addition to support at two key events each year. This could include travel and a short stay in Europe or the USA.
- Teamwork and stakeholder management: Work closely with sales, event producers, agencies, content providers, partners, and sponsors.
- Develop wider marketing skills: with support from the Marketing Director, continue to develop your marketing skills in all areas of event marketing including website and digital project support, analytics and data-driven marketing projects, and ongoing email, social, and content-driven campaign management. Opportunity to develop into Marketing Manager level.
The Requirements:
- Degree education preferred in marketing, events, or closely aligned industry.
- Open for Graduates. Ideally seeking some work experience in marketing or events. This could be through an internship, work placement, or first 1-2 years’ experience post-graduation.
- Skills desired include email marketing, social marketing, LinkedIn, content & copywriting, events marketing or management, partnerships & sponsorship management, managing newsletters, website updates, and analytics/reporting.
- Excellent communication and campaign project management skills, this is a fast-paced industry. Thrives in an environment of ongoing learning and developing marketing skills.
- Flexible for 1-2 days per MONTH in either London or Wales office. Ideal candidate would be flexible to travel with the team to two global events a year although not essential.
- Enjoys working in a small team and increasing responsibilities in time.
