- The successsful candidate will work with multiple stakeholders across the business and client segments to input into, and implement, our unified communications strategy – encompassing PR and client communications.

Key Responsibilities:
PR & Media relations
- Working with our external PR agency, develop a programme of activity that increases Arbuthnot Latham’s share of voice across target publications and media outlets, to support brand awareness, positioning, and sales enablement.
- Build relationships with target/key journalists within national, trade, sector, and regional titles.
- Working in collaboration with channel marketing managers, ensure each market segment has a defined PR plan to support commercial objectives.
- Produce monthly activity reports and with support from line Manager/Department Head, work closely with the Arbuthnot Latham Senior Leadership Team and other stakeholders to ensure PR activity is appropriately communicated.
- Use your expertise of the economic and media landscape to proactively seek opportunities to raise the bank’s profile in key national and trade titles with short and long-form media opportunities.
- Work with our digital PR agency to drive online brand and website awareness through coverage and backlinks in target titles.
- Facilitate close ties between the bank and PR agencies to unearth opportunities for press engagement.
- Write insightful and engaging copy, including press releases, thought leadership, reactive quotes, lines-to-take, and briefing notes.
- Ensure all internal press spokespeople are media trained in accordance with Arbuthnot Latham’s ‘Talking to the media policy’ and provide coaching/mentoring of spokespeople as required.
Reputation & client communications
- Act as a key point of contact across all communication channels (PR, digital, social media, client communications) and support team and business understanding of these channels.
- Execute the bank’s client communications strategy (general communications, regulatory communications, and business change). Ensure communications serve business purpose, engage clients effectively, adhere to regulatory expectations, and align to our brand guidelines.
- Perform regular audits of the bank’s communications – and associated strategies - to ensure continual alignment with regulators’ expectations.
- Ensure adherence to Arbuthnot Latham’s Communications Principles.
- Act as a champion for the Communications Principles and support members of the team and wider business in their use.
- Responsible for managing risks inherent to the role by diligently observing internal policies and procedures.
