Materials Planning Manager

A fantastic opportunity for a Materials Planning Manager to join a well-established manufacturing organisation based in Newbury with a salary up to £60,000. The Materials Planning Manager will sit in the Supply Chain department with excellent opportunity for growth and career progression.

Candidates will have previous Material Planning and Material Planning Manager experience, contributing to the creation and implementation of best practice planning, vision, strategy, policies, processes and procedures to aid and improve operational performance.

Role Responsibilities for the Planning Manager include:

• Ensure that material planning, production planning strategies and processes are in place and work effectively to meet production requirements
• Manage inventory risk and ensure that contingency plans are in place
• Ensuring that the Material Requirements Planning system (MRP) data is accurate and up to date
• Investigate and implement system enhancement initiatives
• Ensure Integrity of Bill of Materials and inventory accuracy at all times
• Manage, coach and develop a high performing team
• Report on achievement of targets and identify any corrective actions

Person Specification of the Planning Manager include:

• Good working knowledge and experience using excel and MRP systems
• Experience working in a Planning Manager role and manging supply of materials
• Experience in managing a team and delivering results
• Exposure to fast paced, high volume manufacturing environment

Salary

Up to £60k

This positions offers up to two days a week working from home

This role will be suited if you have held a role within supply chain as a Planning Manager, Material Planning manager, Production Planning Manager or a Materials Manager.
