AddressPOSITION TITLE: Mechanical Design Engineer
REPORTS TO: Engineering Director
Position Summary:
The Mechanical Design Engineer will be responsible for the design of bespoke conveying and machinery primarily related to the beverage can industry.
Responsibilities:
- Design of our tailored conveying systems.
- Crafting model and drawings of products using AutoCAD and Autodesk Inventor.
- Creating Bills of materials,
- Generating drawing packs
- Liaising with the Purchasing and Manufacturing department as and when required.
- Communicating with customers, sub-contract manufacturers, and the Site installation team.
- Improving our existing products
Knowledge and Requirements:
· Minimum 3 years’ experience as a Mechanical Design Engineer is essential.
· Experience designing conveying equipment would be desirable.
· Knowledge of AutoCAD and Autodesk Inventor is essential.
· Good understanding of mechanical assemblies, manufacturing techniques (fabrication, laser cutting, folding, turning, and milling….)
· Experience of specifying motors, gear boxes and fans would be desirable.
· Proficient in Microsoft Office products (Word/Excel/Outlook)
· Strong Problem-solving skills.
· Keen attention to detail
· Great communication skills
· Able to occasionally travel in the UK and Abroad to undertake Site visits and surveys.

Salary: £40,000.00-£50,000.00 per year
