Mechanical Design Engineer/Project Manager

Owing to continued expansion we are currently looking to recruit a key member to join our Senior Engineering team.
We are looking to employ a talented Mechanical Design Engineer who will work with, but not limited to, key Blue-Chip clients within the Aerospace, Food, Defense, Automotive and Medical industries offering innovative designs alongside a first-class customer service. The successful candidate will be seen as a multi-skilled Engineer within the company and a "go-to" person for colleagues and clients looking for technical support.
The position will see you working on a variety of multiple bespoke projects, designing, developing and testing products with the Technical Sales Director and building relationships with customers through UK wide site visits and phone calls. This position may occasionally take you overseas, so a full UK passport is essential.
To be considered for this role your CV must display the following attributes:
- A minimum of 5 years' time served Mechanical Design Engineering Experience / Knowledge
- Proficient in Solidworks with the skills to understand technical drawings.
- As a minimum, a recognized Mechanical Design HND qualification.
- The ability to oversee project development work from conception to completion and provide technical hands-on support to the manufacturing team where needed.
- Effective problem-solving abilities.
- A willingness to learn and understand the technical aspects of our products.
- Detailed experience of reading, presenting and communicating complex engineering concepts to a technical audience of all levels of seniority.
- The ability to prioritize and allocate the activities of the team to best meet the timescales as agreed with the customer and the Technical Sales Director.
- Be focused on accuracy and able to self-motivate is essential.
- Excellent interpersonal skills and understand the importance of showing credibility to colleagues and customers alike.
- Excellent communication and good organizational skills.
- A full driving license is essential.
- Full UK Passport required.
- An electrical appreciation an advantage but not essential.
