We are offering a fantastic opportunity for a Mechanical Engineer to join the Sandoz Device Development Centre (SDDC) in Cambridge, UK, and to support the design and development of drug delivery devices within Sandoz’s large portfolio of products.

We are offering a fantastic opportunity for a Mechanical Engineer to join the Sandoz Device Development Centre (SDDC) in Cambridge, UK, and to support the design and development of drug delivery devices within Sandoz’s large portfolio of products.
Your Key Responsibilities:
Your responsibilities include, but not limited to:
- Concept generation, development, and analysis
- Engineering calculations and analysis including mathematical modelling and tolerance analysis
- Mechanism generation and analysis (including FEA and Motion Simulation)
- Participation in material selection and design reviews
- Inputting into quality documentation
- Participation in risk assessments, such as FEMAs
- Support Project Managers and Device Project Leads with the following: Planning, Quality compliance, Specifications, Manufacturing integration

Essential Requirements:
- Passion to understand how our devices work and optimise their performance
- Proficiency in engineering areas such as: mathematical modelling; computational modelling; tolerance analysis; mechanism design; etc.
- Masters, PhD, or university degree in the field of Mechanical Engineering, or other relevant subject
- Preferably some experience in the development of medical devices and /or combination products within a pharmaceutical, medical devices, and/or combination products setting with a good understanding of the technologies implemented
- Alternatively, strong engineering experience from industry but with a keen desire to apply this to medical devices and combination products
- Results orientated, enthusiastic, and driven by excellence
- Excellent command of English (verbal and written)
