Role: Mechanical Engineer - Canmaking
Location: Kitt Green, Wigan
Salary: £43,415 per annum (17.84 per hour + 20% shift premium on a 39hr week)
Shift pattern: 6-2 2-10 alternating.

Purpose of role:
As Mechanical Engineer in our Canmaking function, you will work as part of a multi-disciplined shift team and take full ownership over running and maintaining all assets within your department, driving and optimising the utilisation of our equipment to deliver maximum volume at the right quantities.

Key Accountabilities:
To operate & maintain Canmaking lines ensuring optimum safety, quality, yield and performance, including;
- Operating bodymaking production line.
- Mechanical maintenance duties.
- Safely carry out work on equipment across Canmaking.
- Must be proactive in line improvements from conception to completion
- Complete preventative maintenance tasks i.e: asset care, PMs and CBM as required.
- Embrace and align with Kraft-Heinz Management System routines.
- Support breakdown investigations using problem solving techniques.
What we are looking for:
- Time Served Mechanical or Multi-skilled (Mechanical bias) Maintenance Engineer.
- NVQ L3 qualified.
- Previous experience in the Packaging / Food / FMCG / Canmaking equipment is desirable although not essential.
- Experience in the operation & maintenance of high speed Canmaking equipment or similar.
- Experience and background in Toolmaking might also set you up for success in this role.
