Red Rock Consultants are currently working with a reputable and respected Electrical Contracting company established over 10 years ago.

Due to company expansion, they are now recruiting for a Mechanical Estimator to join their team based in West Lancashire.

Office based.

Duties of the Mechanical Estimator will be:

• Processing incoming tenders inclusive of sending for nominated specialists or manufacturers.
• Taking off drawings and schematics for inputting into the estimating software the company uses (Ensign estimating).
• Compiling information from nominated contractor and supplier costs into the estimate spreadsheets and compiling the covering letter for review of both at director level before issuing out.
• Works in connection with rate documents for roll out type installations.
• Works in connection with chasing quotes for works tendered.

The ideal candidate:

• Will be able to decipher ‘drawings’ as mechanical drawings are not always designed fully.
• Have previous experience using Trimble, if not adept at it then training will be provided.
• Fully experienced in all Mechanical Estimating.
• Ideally 5 years’ experience working in a similar role such as a Mechanical Estimator.
• Preferably an industry related Degree.
