A well-established growing machine manufacturer looking for an experienced Mechanical Fitter to join the production team.
My client is seeking a skilled Mechanical Fitter/Technician to join. As part of this small, multi-disciplinary team, you'll collaborate with designers, project managers, and commissioning engineers to deliver bespoke engineering solutions.

Duties
Assembly of composite lead-steel panels
Fabrication and fitting of lead components
Manufacturing small components
Assembly and fitting of sub-assemblies, including belts, motors, bearings, etc.
Cutting, shaping, drilling, tapping, etc.
Preparation, painting, and packing of parts and assemblies
Working on in-house designs, drawings, and quality requirements
Setup and commissioning of final products
The Candidate
Engineering qualification (C&G, BTEC Level 3, NVQ, etc. preferred)
Mechanical engineering background with knowledge of mechanical principles
Hands-on experience with workshop fitting, assembly, and fabrication
Proficiency with hand and power tools and workshop machinery
Ability to understand and interpret engineering drawings
Deadline-oriented with excellent task prioritization skills
Effective teamwork and ability to work independently with minimal supervision
Attention to detail and commitment to quality
The Package
The salary offered for this position is 23,000- 30,000 plus overtime to a candidate that can meet all key qualifications and abilities.
