Liaise and answer queries from the patients and all members of the Primary Health Care Team.Respond to all queries and request for assistance from patients and visitors at reception.Arrange appointments and request for home visits, including emergencies in keeping with the Practice protocol.Update the computerised appointment system when the patient arrives.Advise patients of relevant charges for private services, accept payment, issue receipts and record on patients notes.Explain practice arrangements and Business Services Organisation requirements to new patients and temporary residents. Ensure paperwork is completed in line with practice procedures.Update and maintenance of repeat prescribing system within general practice.To check tasks to be actioned with regards to lab-links blood results and ensure tasks are completed.Respond to all incoming telephone calls promptly and in a courteous manner, transfer/take messages as appropriate.Prepare repeat prescriptions for GP’s signature.File all correspondence in relation to patients in appropriate patient file when required.Scanning of correspondence to patient’s notes from external sources..

Must have proficient computer skills. , Experience in either Medical General Practice or Pharmacy Dispensing is preferred but not essential.
