SalaryURGENT requirement for a Medical Secretary working in Altnagelvin Hospital. Working within the Cancer Care Centre, you will be providing a professional secretarial support role to consultants and other medical professionals. This role has an immediate start, working Monday to Friday 9am – 5pm and has a pay rate of £12.25 per hour. It is expected to last until the end of June 2024 with the possibility of extension.
With the main tasks being accurate input of patient and medical details, contacting GPs for outstanding results
of blood tests, ECGs and other medical investigations, forwarding requests for information on patient scans etc.
You will also be responsible for dealing with telephone and written enquiries from patients and medical
professionals.
To enable you to fulfil this role to the best of your abilities, you will have a high level of administration experience to include audio typing, the use of spreadsheets and emails.
