Two Medical Secretaries are required to work with our client, Belfast Health & Social Care Trust. This post is based within Trauma& Orthopaedics in The Royal Victoria Hospital. This is a temporary ongoing post for a minimum of 6 months with a possibility ofextension. The successful candidate will start immediately and work 9:00am - 5:00pm, Monday - Friday, with a pay rate of £12.25per hour.The successful candidates provide a comprehensive secretarial and administrative service to Consultant Medical Staff, their teamsand the Clinical team. Audio typing experience is essential for this role.
What The Job Entails:
- Provide a secretarial and administrative service to Consultant Medical Staff
- Manage the Consultants/Team diary to ensure effective time management
- Act as a point of contact for all forms of communication between the Consultant, patients, relatives, all hospital staff
- Effectively deal with telephone calls from patients, relatives, hospital staff and General Practitioners and other individualsor organisations, taking messages, ensuring follow-up and resolving any problems as appropriate
- Type and process clinic and discharge letters using audio dictation, and ensure all follow up actions are completed
- Deal with incoming and outgoing correspondence as required
What We Need From You:
- Four GCSEs including Maths & English (A-C)
- RSA/OCR Stage 2 Text Processing
- Audio Typing experience
