Job Description:
We are currently seeking a dedicated and experienced Support Worker to join our team in providing care 4 to 1 support for a client with a dual diagnosis of Learning Disability and Mental Health. This role will involve working closely with a Registered Mental Health Nurse to ensure the client's needs are met effectively.
Key Responsibilities:
- Providing personalised care and support to meet the individual needs of the client.
- Assisting the client with daily activities, including personal care, meal preparation, and medication management.
- Collaborating with the multidisciplinary team to develop and implement care plans.
- Managing challenging behaviors in a calm and professional manner.
- Maintaining accurate records and documentation.
- Supporting the client to engage in social and recreational activities.
Requirements:
- Previous experience working with clients with learning disabilities and Mental Health challenges.
- Experience working with clients exhibiting challenging behavior.
- Valid PMVA (Prevention and Management of Violence and Aggression) certification.
- A driving license and access to a car.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work effectively as part of a team and independently.
