Job description

Mulberry House and Mews is a semi-independent housing project providing high level support and accommodation for adults recovering from Mental Health issues. Our service is a psychologically informed environment in which clients and staff build trusting and respectful relationships which aim to empower clients.

The service is situated on the outskirts of Bath, in Weston Village, with easy transport links into Bath and Bristol. The service has allotments, a small orchard and a round house, and we run a range of activities to support recovery. As a Caseworker, you will provide specific Mental Health, housing and other related support to vulnerable adults. You will work with a Recovery Based Approach to support clients with their Mental Health issues during their stay, with a focus on their recovery, involvement, rights and responsibilities to maximise the client’s individual potential. We also encourage the team to use their own interests and experience to develop an area of specialism, which can be used to help our clients.

About you

  • If you can understand the support requirements of people with complex Mental Health and associated support needs, good communication skills with an ability to establish an effective working relationship with clients and other staff, we encourage you to apply!
  • If you are willing to learn we will provide you with support and supervision to build the necessary skills and abilities to carry out comprehensive and individualised assessment and action planning, and increase your knowledge and understanding of the statutory, voluntary and consumer led services in Bath.

Please note that the pattern of work is based on shift rota hours, which will include regularly working evenings, nights, weekends and bank holidays. Further details about the rota pattern can be requested at the time of interview.
