Joining The AA as a MI Analyst, you will be building and maintaining Management Information (MI) dashboards and reports for our vehicle manufacturer partners. You’ll identify any issues related to the delivery and operation of MI supported by the Data and Analytics function, requiring you to interrogate the data and produce detailed data analysis.
Working closely with the Reporting and Visualisation Manager, this role offers a great opportunity for someone looking to build a career in a high-pace team that is at the heart of data-driven organisation. Our vehicle manufacturer partners are key to our overall AA strategy, and delivering insight to them will improve business decisions.
What will I be doing?
- Enable analytical and operational MI through development of semantic layer for MI eco-systems, development of dashboards or reports.
- Deliver timely and accurate Management Information to various audiences.
- Guide end users in correct use of the MI and promote business intelligence best practices, in line with our data strategy and processes.
- Develop and enhance robust MI processes including development, peer review, testing, release, and transfer to the operation. Support alignment and integration with AAIT standards and processes where required
- Work to the AA standards of development, follow the appropriate development methodologies for MI solutions, including Waterfall or Agile. More experienced candidates will be able to actively contribute towards improving the development standards and promote a culture of continuous improvement.
- Create and update High Level Design (HLD) documentation, reflecting your work.
- Provide story point estimates for development work within part of sprint planning activities.
What do I need?
- Strong hands-on experience within MI/BI Reporting utilising specific technologies i.e., Tableau, SQL, PowerBI, Excel etc. providing complex detailed data analysis
- Experience with building and maintaining reliable and scalable MI and Metadata reporting, dashboards, or semantic layers utilising systems/tools such as OBIEE, OACS, Tableau, SSRS or similar
- Passionate about all things data with the intricate mindset to deep-dive into data to provide detailed analysis and provide value-add recommendations to the business, stakeholders, and suppliers
- Intrigued to continuously look for areas of improvement and best approach to implement including new technologies
- Comfortable working with varying levels of stakeholders to influence, challenge and present
- Business and commercial savvy with the ability to bring a technical vision to life
