Who are they?
I'm on the lookout for a skilled PHP Developer to join a rapidly growing consultancy in Leeds. They are developing a cybersecurity product that will revolutionise vulnerability testing for software. This is a great time to be joining them as they've just outgrown their start-up status over the last year or so and are looking to add to the current headcount as they move into SME status.
What will I be doing?
You'll play a vital role as the company continue to develop features for a secure client-facing portal that allows clients to have exclusive access to their product. You'll primarily develop using PHP, Laravel and AWS. Due to the nature of the business, this is an excellent opportunity to work on Greenfield products and it is ideally suited to a Developer with an interest in security, and there will be plenty of on-the-job opportunities. As well as strong experience working with PHP, they're ideally looking for someone that has solid Laravel experience.
Who are you?
To be a strong candidate, you will need strong commercial PHP/Laravel experience, and experience using TDD, OOP and Docker would also be an advantage. You will be expected to go into the office at least 3 times a week, so you will need to live in the Leeds vicinity! It's a Scrum environment so they would like you to contribute your own idea and get stuck in with the work as well. Personality-wise, they're looking for someone who is naturally curious, and looking for ways to improve the product. They're quite a tight-knit bunch but very welcoming and what they're most looking for is someone who is passionate about coding, eager to learn new things, and invested in making their product the best it can be.
What's on offer?
The important bit! The salary on offer is up to 45,000, depending on experience. This is a hybrid role, with their office in central Leeds. The team love to do frequent socials and really look after one another to create a positive working environment. They are obsessed with learning and development and frequently implement training days into the schedule that have been recommended by the team, it's also an amazing opportunity to gain good exposure to cybersecurity.
