Middle Office Ops Risk Analyst Contracting

Hays are recruiting for an Operational Risk Analyst to join a leading Investment Bank on a contract basis to specifically working with Middle office operations controls within collateral/ margining, and trade processing
Duties and Responsibilities will include;

• Source KRI's across Operations and implement daily/monthly Management Information (MI) for monitoring.
• Work closely with other Operations managers to map out key processes and identify inefficient processes, control weaknesses, procedural gaps etc. which require remediation.
• Ensure Operations controls are correctly reflected within the Operational risk system to ensure the system accurately reflects the current risk & control environment.
• Embed a culture of risk awareness, set high control standards and assist the wider Operations team to fully understand where risks exist.
• Ensure Operations raise risk events according to guidelines set down by Operational Risk Management (ORM).
• Ensure Polices and Regulations which apply to Operations are known and their application is understood and are attested within the function at agreed frequencies.
• Conduct risk reviews across Operations where required based on thematic issues, incident events, audit concerns or emerging issues.

Experience required

• Previous operational risk management experience
• Experience across the front office would be ideal, and knowledge of a variety of asset classes
