- Hours: 37 hours per week x 52 weeks
Day to Day of the role of a Motor Vehicle Lecturer :
- Develop and implement comprehensive schemes of work and lesson plans with clear objectives.
- Deliver engaging lessons and manage classroom and online learning effectively.
- Assess and monitor student progress, maintaining accurate records in line with College policies.
- Serve as an Academic Progress Tutor, mentoring students and supporting their academic journey.
- Contribute to the College’s quality assurance processes, including self-assessment and lesson observations.
- Perform administrative duties related to the programme, including student guidance and event participation.
- Provide academic, pastoral, and personal support for learners, potentially acting as Programme Manager.
- Engage in continuous professional development to enhance teaching practice.
Required Skills & Qualifications for the Motor Vehicle Lecturer :
- A recognised teaching qualification e.g PCGE, DET, Cert education ect
- Assessors qualification TAQA, CAVA, Assessors award
- Ability to inspire, develop, support, and challenge learners.
- Strong planning and organisational skills with a focus on delivering high-quality education.
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively.
- Commitment to professional development and staying current with industry and educational trends.
- Understanding and application of safeguarding, equality, and diversity principles in an educational setting.
