We are currently recruiting for a Multilingual Head of Finance role on behalf of a client in Manchester.
The client works in Property Investment, Bridging Finance and Financial Services. This is an office based role in Manchester for a family run company. This is an ideal opportunity for someone with over 5 years of experience in an international accounting role looking for the next step up in their career. The client is willing to negotiate salary depending on experience.
Responsibilities:
- Supervision of Client and Group Accounts: Take charge of client accounts, offering comprehensive financial analysis. Arrange group accounts, ensuring compliance and working closely with our Group Auditor. Supervise cash flow and bookkeeping processes.
- Diverse Task Portfolio: Engage in various tasks, including financial reporting, budgeting, consulting with company owners, and managing complex financial transactions in the stock market (shares, bonds, options).
- International Partnerships: Liaise with international partners to foster strong relationships and manage financial matters effectively.
- International Accounting: Demonstrate proficiency in preparing accounts, including Profit and Loss (P&L) and balance sheets, adhering to international standards. Experience dealing with countries such as BVI, Panama, Italy, Spain, Germany, and the UK is preferred.
- Banking Relationships: Cultivate and maintain relationships with international banks to ensure effective communication and collaboration on financial matters.
- Global Market Familiarity: Showcase knowledge and familiarity with international markets, stay ahead of trends and contribute to our organisation's strategic positioning.
- Assistance in Managing the UK Office: Help manage the UK office, acting as the group's head office. Responsibilities may include monitoring employees and handling HR matters.
- Family Office Affairs: Assist with the private financial affairs of the owner when necessary.
- Travel: Travel may be required to oversee our company's portfolio in other countries.
What we're looking for:
- Professional Qualifications: Fully ACA/CIMA/ACCA qualified with a proven track record, boasting over 5 years of experience in an international accounting environment. Prefer someone that has knowledge about property business.
- Confident Communicator: Demonstrate excellent written and verbal communication skills, adept at adapting to diverse audiences and navigating cultural nuances with finesse.
- Highly Organized: Possess exceptional organisational skills and an acute attention to detail, ensuring precision in every aspect of your work.
- Time Management Expert: Showcase strong time management and multitasking abilities, adept at handling multiple responsibilities concurrently.
- Self-Starter Mentality: Exhibit a proactive approach to tasks, demonstrating initiative and a drive for continuous improvement.
- Proficient in Office 365 and Xero: Showcase proficiency in essential tools such as Office 365 and Xero, with a preference for knowledge of Arthur or other property management apps.
- Language Skills: Fluent in English, other language is bonus.
- Negotiation Skills: Bring negotiation skills to the table, contributing to effective communication and collaboration in financial transactions.
- Valid Passport: Demonstrate global readiness with a valid passport, showcasing your ability to engage in international business affairs.
