National Account Manager - FMCG

Main duty - To develop and build relationships and revenue with major high street retailers such as Tescos, Asda, B&M, Home Bargains etc.

If you are a goal orientated, team orientated, experienced National Account Manager who has a wealth of success and experience managing major retailers, then this could be the move you are looking for.

The role of National Account Manager:

As this is a NAM role, the ideal location of the candidate would be the central region as your main accounts are around Leeds, Hertfordshire and you will be required to attend meetings at HQ near Canterbury, but we will consider applications from all mainland UK.

Key responsibilities:

Ensure strategic management and development of a portfolio of existing high value, £ multi million retail accounts and new accounts to achieve sales and profit targets whilst protecting and promoting the brand.

Understand and develop strong relationships between the brand and customers.

Engage excellent problem-solving techniques by identifying the root cause through to resolution, to maximise customer satisfaction within the boundaries of business procedures.

Maintain communication to ensure stock availability.

Provide support, direction and guidance as required within your areas of expertise.

Ensure ownership of key areas of responsibility to meet the strategic objectives of the business.

Work collaboratively with all areas of the Company to ensure the best levels of service are achieved for our customers.

Skills and Experience:

Previous National / Regional Accounts experience dealing with major retailers, prefer not food or drink sector.

Proven track record in growing and delivering sales/profit plans.

A positive 'cando’ attitude and be highly motivated to achieve sales targets.

Results orientated.

Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.

Ability to work independently and in a group/team setting.

Willingness to travel with overnight stays away as needed.

Proficient with Microsoft Office and data analysis.
