Job Title: National Account Manager
Location: Knaresborough, Field based
Salary: £40,000 - £50,000, plus bonus scheme

We are recruiting on behalf of a consumer product manufacture who are in the process of establishing their UK branch. Due to this expansion, they are looking for an experienced National Account Manager to grow their market share and contribute to the business’s success.

Position Overview:
As a National Account Manager, you’ll be establishing and cultivating new relationships with market leaders. Your primary focus will be on winning new business with household named retailers, driving revenue growth, and ensuring the successful implementation of sales strategies.

Key Responsibilities:
• Develop sales plans to target and win new business with household named retailers
• Build strong, long-term relationships with key decision-makers at target clients
• Collaborate cross-functionally with product development and operations teams
• Analyse market trends, competitor activities, and consumer insights to identify new opportunities and drive continuous improvement
• Negotiate contracts, pricing, and terms with National Accounts
• Act as the primary point of contact for National Accounts, addressing any issues or concerns in a timely and effective manner
• National travel to meet with prospective and established clients and trade shows

Qualifications:
• Previous National Account Manger experience within the retails industry, preferably with top 4 retailers
• Must be able to give strong examples of accounts gained and year on year growth achieved
• Proven track record of success, preferably in the retail industry
• Strong network of contacts within the retail sector
• Excellent communication, negotiation, and presentation skills
• Strategic thinker with the ability to analyse complex data and develop actionable insights
• Results-oriented with a passion for exceeding sales targets and driving business growth
• Ability to travel as needed to meet with clients and attend industry events
