Job description

National Delivery Manager (Partnerships)
Home-based (with regular travel to London)
The Organisation
The Education Endowment Foundation (EEF) is an independent charity dedicated to breaking the link between family income and educational achievement.
We do this by supporting schools, colleges and nurseries to improve teaching and learning through better use of evidence. We generate research evidence on effective practice in supporting learning outcomes and narrowing the socioeconomic attainment gap, and we work with education professionals to ensure this evidence isa applied to achieve the maximum possible benefit for children and young people.
The EEF’s reach and impact has been tremendous: the English education system is now one of the most evidence-informed in the world. Over half of state primary and secondary schools have taken part in an EEF-funded trial, and 70% of all school leaders use the Teaching and Learning Toolkit to inform their decision-making.
We are currently seeking a National Delivery Manager to join our team on a full-time basis for a fixed-term contract until September 2025.
The Benefits
- Salary of circa £55,000 per annum, depending on experience
- Flexible start and end working times (core hours between 10am and 4pm)
- Flexible working opportunities
- 27 days’ holiday a year (plus 8 bank holidays including 3 which can be taken flexibly)
- 2 festive season closure days
- 6% employer pension contributions, minimum 3% employee contribution
- Life insurance cover
- Interest-free season ticket loan and cycle scheme
- Enhanced maternity, paternity, adoption and shared parental leave pay (conditions apply)
- Confidential Employee Assistance Programme to help you deal with any personal and professional problems
This is an incredible opportunity for a high-calibre project manager with experience of delivering change across organisations and working within the education sector to join our vital initiative.
You’ll have the opportunity to become a key player in shaping educational outcomes across the country, advocating for meaningful change and transforming the future of education.
Within this short-term contract you’ll be making a big impact at a national level – further developing your portfolio of experience and ensuring your legacy of excellence long after the contract finishes.
So, if you’re passionate about driving positive change in education and want to make a difference in the lives of young people, we want to hear from you!
The Role
As a National Delivery Manager, you will lead our ability to influence and shape the education system at a local and regional level, focusing on our regional partnerships and the work of the Research Schools Network.
Regional partnerships are critical to our success. We form partnerships with local authorities and multi-academy-trusts, working together to work together to identify priorities, co-construct solutions, and engage with research evidence to meet specific challenges.
As part of the delivery of our new active mobilisation strategy, you will lead our regional partnerships approach. This will include overseeing cross-team delivery to identify scope and priorities for potential Evidence Exploration Partnerships and refining the Evidence Exploration approach.
You will also oversee the operational management and oversight of delivery in three EEF regions. This will involve managing three Regional Leads, overseeing regional research schools and partnerships and supporting the regional delivery teams.
Additionally, you will:
- Support the ongoing development and delivery of the Evidence into Action Partnerships
- Oversee the decision-making processes to select partnerships
- Ensure an effective approach to monitoring and engagement
- Work to support appropriate evaluation
- Undertake financial monitoring, budget tracking and reporting
About You
To be considered as a National Delivery Manager, you will need:
- A track record of project management and delivering change across organisations
- The ability and credibility to act as an effective ambassador at a senior level, including with headteachers, system leaders and senior officials
- A good understanding of the education landscape in England
- An understanding of the role of brokerage in relation to school improvement and the use of evidence
- Proven leadership skills
- Excellent relationship management and communication skills
The closing date for this role is 3rd July 2024.
Other organisations may call this role Education Partnerships Manager, National Project Manager, Regional Project Manager, Service Delivery Manager, Services Manager, Project Delivery Manager, Head of National Partnerships, or National Delivery Lead.
Webrecruit and EEF are equal opportunities employers, value diversity and are strongly committed to providing equal employment opportunities for all employees and all applicants for employment. Equal opportunities are the only acceptable way to conduct business and we believe that the more inclusive our environments are, the better our work will be.
