About the role

Role description

The Gallery has recently undergone a major transformation, the Inspiring People project. This project has included a comprehensive re-display of our collection, a significant transformation of our building, a new Learning Centre and ambitious national, international and digital programmes to reach new audiences – to be a truly national gallery for everyone. After opening the doors again in June 2023, the Gallery received great critical acclaim and saw record-breaking visitor numbers, and is now focused on embarking on a new, ambitious ten year plan which will ensure that the Collection can be enjoyed for future generations to come. Fundraising will be a critical priority for the Gallery to enable us to deliver these exciting new projects whilst also ensuring that we remain financially robust and sustainable for the future. This role presents an extraordinary opportunity for an individual with significant experience of charitable fundraising who is passionate about portraiture and wishes to support us on the next phase of the Gallery’s journey.
