.Net Developer

Robert Half have been retained by Bridgnorth Aluminium to engage a new .NET Developer to join their business based in Bridgnorth, Shropshire.

Having manufactured aluminium strip since 1933, Bridgnorth Aluminium has firmly established itself as a trusted supplier of rolled aluminium products, producing over 100,000 tonnes per year. Their knowledge and experience span many decades, evident in the work they do today.

The .NET Developer role is vital to the company's technology initiatives. Reporting to the IT Senior Manager (Head of IT), this role develops and maintains software applications and solutions tailored to the industry's specific needs. The .NET Developer plays a critical role in enhancing operational efficiency, streamlining processes, and driving innovation within the organization.

The role is currently being offered at a salary £50,000 - £55,000 per annum, along with a host of benefits including a generous pension contribution (up to 7%), flexitime, Christmas bonus, etc.

Please note, this role requires 4 days a week onsite in Bridgnorth.

Key Responsibilities:

• Software Development: Create and maintain applications to meet business requirements.
• Programming: Write efficient code and adhere to coding standards.
• Database Management: Ensure data integrity and optimal performance.
• Integration and Automation: Streamline processes and automate workflows.
• Testing and Quality Assurance: Identify and resolve defects.
• Documentation: Maintain comprehensive software documentation.
• Technical Support: Troubleshoot software issues.
• Security and Compliance: Implement security measures and ensure compliance.

Requirements:

• Strong commercial experience in C#.NET, ASP.NET, WinForms, MS-SQL and Visual Studio.
• Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience.
• Strong problem-solving and collaboration skills.

Advantageous Skills:

• Knowledge of any of the following:
  • Crystal Reports
  • SAP ERP
  • Mobile app development (i.e. Xamarin)
  • SysPro ERP
  • EDI .XML API integrations
