Working Days and Hours: Monday to Friday, 9am to 5pm 37.5 hours
Job Summary
As a Network Engineer you will support the network projects team in provision and delivery of robust network and communication services, by means of project activities and any ad-hoc requests. This role will have a strong focus on Network projects which is upgrades to existing network equipments and ensuring that the project is completed on schedule within project specifications.
To support the delivery of a high quality, safe and compassionate healthcare service, all staff are expected to act as a role model to others in all aspects of their work.
Duties
- IT networking experience, CCNA, CCNP or equivalent would be desirable.
- IT network configuration, Cisco switches, Wi-Fi access points and controllers, firewalls.
- Good knowledge of IT network cabling, Cat5e, Cat6, Optical Fibre.
- Good understanding of the concept of building physical IT networks.
- Good IT skills and experience of Microsoft Office suite.
- Good problem-solving skills.
- Well organised and willingness to work flexibly in response to changing organisational requirements.
- You will be a key technical resource within the project.
- You will work as part of Network Refresh Project Team and be expected to work alongside other project engineers within Digital Health.
- Occasional travel to other project sites.
- Participate in technical project meetings, quality assurance.
- You will be required to work out of hours in order to meet project deadlines and the needs of the Trust.
