Network Engineer - Northampton/Hybrid - £38,205 - £42,978
Are you an experienced, CCNA Certified, Network Engineer looking for your next move? Our client is a market leading organisation currently expanding their established Network team.
As part of this team, you will take responsibility for the ownership and delivery of network services, as well as being responsible for the continual improving of services. You will also be tasked with producing service design packages, ensuring robust design and transition of services into operational environments.
You will have experience of ITIL service design and tradition processes, as well as proven commercial experience of WAN, LAN, WLAN, VLANs and VOIP configuration. Experience or knowledge will also be needed with Enterprise Firewall Administration, IP Addressing, DNS and DHCP, Unified Communications or Infrastructure Wiring.

Principal Duties and Responsibilities
- Responsible for the delivery and ownership of network services within the agreed service levels and providing assistance within operational level agreements.
- Responsible for providing technical expertise regarding the network infrastructure as well as the technical aspects of design, transition, operation.
- Responsible for the continual improving of services along with the developing of skills required to operate the network infrastructure.
- Responsible for components required to provide network services along with documentation of configurable items, knowledge, and other associations.
- Responsible for providing escalated 3rd line support as required for solving an Incident or Problem with the aim is to restore as quickly as possible.
- Responsible for ensuring that network infrastructure service processes within design, and continual improvement are fit for purpose.
- To produce service design packages, to ensure robust design and transition of services into operational environments.
Key Skills and Experience
- Cisco technologies.
- CCNA Certified.
- Knowledge or experience of ITIL service design and transition processes.
- Experience of WAN, LAN, WLAN, VLANs, VOIP configuration.
