Responsibilities
- Transporting patients to and from the dialysis centre and their homes within the local area
- Assisting patients with entering and exiting their homes and the dialysis centre
- Pushing wheelchairs as needed
- Conducting vehicle checks to ensure the patient transport vehicle is in proper condition before each shift
- Transporting blood samples and other goods to and from the Windsor dialysis unit
- Reporting any incidents or maintenance issues promptly
- Each patient collection run involves transporting up to 4/5 patients per journey, with the possibility of completing up to 3 runs per shift, including hospital trips and returns
- Communicating effectively with both patients and the nursing team
- Providing local induction to drivers to familiarise them with local processes
Requirements
- No clinical experience required
- Must possess a full clean driving license with D1 category
- Availability for shifts: 06:30-19:30 or 11:00-00:00
Hourly Pay
Weekdays - £11.67
Saturdays and Nights - £15.75
Sunday and Public Holidays - £19.72
