We are currently seeking a Night Shift Engineer to join our clients team responsible for maintaining and servicing plant found within a prestigious commercial building in Central London. As a Night Shift Engineer, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the smooth operation of critical systems during night-time hours.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conducting Planned Preventative Maintenance (PPM) tasks on various plant equipment, including but not limited to:
- HVAC (Heating, Ventilation, and Air Conditioning) systems
- Boilers and heating systems
- Chillers and refrigeration units
- Electrical distribution systems
- Fire alarm and life safety systems
- Plumbing and drainage systems
- Responding promptly to reactive maintenance requests and resolving issues efficiently.
- Performing checks and inspections on mechanical and electrical systems.
- Identifying and reporting any faults or defects to the engineering team.
- Ensuring compliance with health and safety regulations at all times
- Fully electrically qualified or mechanically qualified (City & Guilds, NVQ, or equivalent).
- Proven experience in maintaining and servicing plant equipment within a commercial environment.
- Strong diagnostic and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to liaise with stakeholders at all levels.
- Flexibility to work Night Shifts (11pm to 8am) Sunday to Friday.
- Hourly rate of between £23-£25 per hour
