Non-Executive Director – Sales
One Day Per Month, Remote
£20,000 – 30,000
As a niche independent Property Consultancy, this long-established business operates within the commercial and residential markets, offering agency, valuation, management and auctioneering services in London and the Southeast. Seeking to capitalise on an uncertain market and with a commitment to continued profitable expansion and strategic growth, the Board is currently seeking an experienced Non-Executive Director role, with a background in Sales & Marketing to provide strategic guidance, growth, and independent advice to the executive team.
Key Responsibilities of the Sales Non-Executive Director
- Develop new marketing and sales strategies for the organisation
- Help establish clear sales goals and objectives
- Challenge the SLT and The Board on their assumptions and ask pertinent questions on decision-making regarding marketing initiatives, entry into new markets and fee generation
- Highlight potential risks & opportunities based on sales performance & wider influences
- Collaborate with the senior team to develop and implement a robust business plan, including growth strategies, operational efficiencies, and marketing objectives
- Review and suggest new performance measures to ensure revenue growth and fee generation is maximised
- Engage the business on the importance of revenue growth and diversification
Key Skills and Requirements of the Sales Non-Executive Director
- Proven experience as a Non-Executive Director challenging Board assumptions and strategic decision-making
- Prior experience as a CEO, MD or Sales Director in a growing business
- Proven experience creating and re-visiting companies long term strategies
- Experience of fostering a “winning new business” mentality
The role will be required to attend Board meetings as well as some additional ad-hoc strategic business meetings with a total of one-day a month to be attended at their London office. Prior sector experience would be advantageous but not essential.
