Location: Tonbridge, Kent
Salary: £25,710 - £29,970 + Excellent Benefits
Job Type: Full Time, Monday - Friday, 45 Hours
The Client:
Our client is a reputable childcare provider, offering care and education for children aged 3 months to 5 years in secure and nurturing environment.
The Role:
As a Nursery Practitioner, you will be overseeing daily nursery activities and implementing planning, observation, and assessment procedures.
Responsibilities:
* Prioritising childrens well-being and ensuring their needs are met..
* Supporting childrens physical, emotional, social, and intellectual development
* Encouraging childrens independence and self-awareness.
* Contributing to a suitable curriculum in consultation with the management team.
* Promoting nursery policies and maintaining high standards.
* Building professional relationships with parents / carers.
* Settling new children and families through effective communication.
* Supporting students, trainees, and volunteers.
* Utilising the recording system (Tapestry) for effective data management.
* Completing administrative tasks in a timely manner.
* Teaching phonics to children and facilitating communication with other settings.
* Participating in meetings and workshops.
Requirements:
* Previously worked as a Nursery Practitioner or in a similar role.
* Minimum of 2 years of experience with children aged 0-5 years.
* NVQ Level 2 - 3 or equivalent qualification in childcare or related subject.
* Understanding of child protection, health, safety, security, equal opportunities, and confidentiality policies
* Familiarity with the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS).
* Enhanced DBS check.
* First aid certificate.

Shifts:
* 7:30am - 5:30pm
* 8:00am - 6:00pm
