We are seeking a passionate and dedicated Nursery Assistant to join a dynamic and supportive nursery in Kempston. This is an excellent opportunity for individuals who are committed to making a significant impact in young children’s lives and who believe in the ethos that ‘every child matters’. If you are eligible to work in the UK and hold a Level 2 or 3 qualification in childcare, we would love to hear from you.
Day-to-day of the role:- Support the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) and room leads in setting up engaging and innovative activities.
- Engage with children on a whole group or one-to-one basis, both inside and outside the classroom.
- Contribute to a stimulating and varied programme of play and learning opportunities.
- Ensure the safety and well-being of the children, meeting their individual needs.
- Enhanced child DBS on the update service or willingness to obtain one.
- Experience working with children or young people with additional care needs.
- Two recent professional references.
- Experience with behaviours that are challenging.
- A calm and caring personality.
- Strong and resilient character, committed to pupils’ development.
- Proficient in reading, writing, numeracy, and communication skills.
- Work in a creative learning atmosphere that fosters self-assurance, independence, and a lifelong love of learning.
- Be part of a team of qualified and enthusiastic nursery staff.
