Job description

Overview

Due to retirement an opportunity has arisen at W Wright Electrical & Mechanical for a highly organized and detail-oriented Office Administrator to join our team at our Sheffield office. As an Office Administrator, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the smooth operation of our office. The ideal candidate will have excellent administrative and organizational skills, as well as proficiency in various office software applications.

W Wright Electrical & Mechanical is a long established medium sized building services contractor undertaking works for clients in the health, industrial, commercial and leisure sectors.

Responsibilities

Perform general administrative duties such as answering phone calls, managing emails, and handling correspondence

Maintain office supplies inventory and place orders when necessary

Assist with data entry tasks and maintain accurate records

Assist with document preparation, formatting, and editing

Provide support to other team members as needed

Checking weekly timesheets and inputting into job costing software.

Generating staff payroll information for all employees, accurately inputting it into Sage.

Administering Company and Employee pension obligations.

Processing payment of employee benefits, including health schemes, pension contributions, etc., ensuring accurate administration within Sage accordingly.

Checking and resolving payroll queries.

Managing PPE for staff and operatives

Administering records of staff holidays, illness and absence

Qualifications

Proven experience in an administrative role

Strong organizational skills with the ability to prioritize tasks effectively

Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel)

Excellent data entry skills with a high level of accuracy

Familiarity with Sage accounting software is essential

Strong verbal and written communication skills

Exceptional attention to detail and problem-solving abilities

Ability to handle confidential information with discretion is essential

Professional phone etiquette and customer service skills
