Reporting to the Office Manager, you will be delivering vital administrative assistance across a wide range of functions. The role will focus on the areas of administration, office coordination, health and safety, finance, supporter care and project administration.
Your new role
You will oversee the day-to-day office environment sorting, organising and distributing post and courier deliveries, maintaining the office space including monitoring the facilities including cleaning services, contractors etc, managing and ordering office supplies such as stationary, kitchen supplies, managing the office entry system, staff days and social events. You will also be providing HR Admin support to the office manager, teamed with arranging travel for the team and board as required including booking flights, accommodation, visas, pre trip risk assessments. You will also be supporting the board and sub-committee by taking minutes at meetings, arranging meetings and refreshments. You will manage Health and safety for the office which will include acting as Fire Marshall and First Aider. You will also be giving key support to the supporter care and finance team helping them with tasks as and when necessary.
What you'll need to succeed
To be considered in this role ideally you would have any experience in working within an NGO or charity sector with experience in Administration or Reception but this is not essential. You should have excellent communication skills both written and verbal together with excellent telephone skills. Strong organisational skills with ability to manage multiple tasks by prioritising effectively is key. You should be computer-literate and confident in using all MS Office software. You should be a team player and driven by what you do makes a difference. You should be motivated to deliver exceptional results.
What you'll get in return
This is a permanent position starting as soon as possible. Our client has modern offices in central Cambridge with excellent public transport links but no parking unfortunately. This is a full-time role working Monday to Friday with flexible hours like 8-4 or 9-5pm. This role is offered on a hybrid basis with flexibility to work in the office 1 to 2 days per week (you can choose) and the rest home working. A competitive salary of 25,000 is offered with and excellent benefits package which includes 25 days holiday (plus bank holidays and time off for Christmas), excellent pension, paid sabbatical leave and charity/volunteer days.
