Job description

Office Manager - 6 Month Temporary Contract

Hours 37.5 worked over 52 weeks per year

Salary £25,546 increasing to £28,343.

Office Manager Inscape House School

  • Inscape House School is a specialist school for children with autism and related conditions, based on the Together Trust Campus in Cheadle. The school has a broad and balanced curriculum incorporating the National Curriculum with an emphasis on the development of social, communication and personal skills as set out in the Inscape House School Teaching and Learning Policy.
  • Working pattern - 37.5 hours per week (Monday to Friday, 8am until 4pm), worked over 52 weeks per year with a holiday entitlement of 27 days holiday and 8 bank holidays (increasing with years of service).
  • Location - Inscape House School, Cheadle, Stockport on the Together Trust Campus

We are looking for an Office Manager to join our existing team

The role comprises;

  • To provide a quality administrative service to the whole school that is professional, effective, and efficient.
  • To provide executive admin support to the Senior Leadership Team which will include taking minutes at meetings.
  • To be the data controller for the school responsible for ensuring that staff and student data is accurate and up to date.
  • To line manage the office team.
  • To support with health and safety.
  • To provide HR support for the Senior Leadership Team and managers.
  • To learn the administrative process required for annual reviews and support the annual reviews administrator as required.
  • To ensure that all visitor processes and procedures are compliant with all statutory safeguarding legislation and guidance.
  • To ensure that the Single Central Record is accurately maintained and up to date.
  • To support and assist the School Business Manager and deputise as and when required.

Qualifications

  • Excellent literacy and numeracy skills.
  • Educated to minimum GCSE Level and NVQ Level 3 in Administration or equivalent.

Experience in:

  • Extensive executive administrative experience and general administrative experience.
  • Experience of working in a busy office environment.
  • Experience of using management information systems.
  • Experience of delegating work and deputising.
  • Experience of managing a team.
  • Experience of working successfully and collaboratively as a member of a team.
  • Good communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office, including word, excel and outlook.
  • Efficient and accurate typing/data entry skills.
  • Good written and spoken English.
  • Experience of dealing with confidential and sensitive information.
  • Ability to work in an organised and methodical manner and work to deadlines.
  • Ability to communicate with a wide range of audiences, including other employees within the Trust, governors, parents, LEA, contractors, and suppliers.
  • Receptive to new ideas, approaches, and challenges.
  • Resilient nature.
