The Role:
As the Children's Centre Office Manager, you will play a pivotal role in the smooth running of our centre's administrative functions. Your key responsibilities will include:
- Overseeing day-to-day office operations, including managing administrative staff and delegating tasks
- Maintaining accurate records of children and families accessing our services, ensuring confidentiality and compliance with data protection regulations
- Coordinating communication between staff, parents, external agencies, and partner organisations
- Managing financial processes, such as budgeting, invoicing, and petty cash handling
- Facilitating the organisation of events, workshops, and activities for children and families
- Providing administrative support to the Centre Manager and other staff members as required
Requirements:
To thrive in this role, you should possess:
- Previous experience in office management or administration, ideally within a childcare or family support setting
- Strong organisational skills and the ability to manage multiple tasks efficiently
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with a compassionate approach to working with children and families
- Proficiency in IT systems, including Microsoft Office applications and database management software
- A proactive attitude, with the ability to work independently and as part of a team
