Registered Manager - Ofsted
Location - Darlington
Permanent full time role, 40 hours per week.
Working with children and young people with Learning Disabilities and EBD
Salary; £53,000 to £61,000
We are looking for an Ofsted Registered Manager for our client who operates several children homes across the UK. You must have experience working within a Registered Manager (Ofsted) role within a childrens home.
Your new company
Our client provides extensive care and nurturing for children and young people with a wide range of difficulties such as emotional behavioural disorder, mental health and learning disabilities. The 5 bedroomed home offers a warm, friendly and comfortable environment supporting young people from ages 12 to 18. All bedrooms are tailored to suit individual needs, and the communal areas designed to encourage and promote independent skills.
Your Responsibilities
* Manage a Residential Home and ensure the efficient operation of the service in accordance with the relevant legislation, procedures, policies and the Statement of Purpose for the home.
* Produce a development plan for the service that ensures the delivery of high quality, clinically informed practice.
* Assist and supervise in the continual assessment of the needs of the children and young people and to identify and prepare specific development plans to ensure the most appropriate service provision.
What you'll need to succeed
* NVQ Level 5, Dip SW CQSW in Working with Young People/Management or a desire to work towards this.
* Significant experience at Senior level in a Children's Home
* Able to demonstrate reasoning, numeracy, and literacy skills to required standard.
* Able to work within the principles of the Children's Act 2004.
* Demonstrate a sound working knowledge of Child Protection Issues and Procedures.
* Have a sound knowledge of Children's Homes procedures and relevant issues
* Good organisation and leadership skills and ability to motivate others
* Working knowledge of the National Care Standards 2018, Children's Homes Regulations 2018, Working Together to Safeguard Children 2018
