About the Service - Women and Children's Services
We run services and dedicated women’s centres for those who are at risk or struggling with challenging circumstances, including women in the criminal justice system and those with experience of trauma, selling sex or sexual exploitation.
We understand that women and girls have experiences which are different to men and can experience vulnerabilities that are specific to their gender. Childhood abuse and domestic abuse are common features in the lives of the women we support which impact on their health and wellbeing. Underpinning all our services is an in-depth understanding of trauma and a focus on recovery, resilience and community integration.
About the Job
Changing Lives has significantly expanded over the past few years and now works nationally with people experiencing homelessness, addiction and a range of other problems by reaching out into communities. We also offer specialist support services for women and families, provide employment opportunities for our clients, and run several successful social enterprises.
To work as a member of the Changing Lives Netreach and Outreach teams providing a safe, confidential and supportive service for women involved in sex work and those who are vulnerable to sexual exploitation.
As a caseworker, you will support individuals on a 1-1 basis in the community who meet one or more of the following criteria;
- Engaging in online sex work
- Vulnerable to online exploitation
- Victim of online harm or tech-facilitated crime
Please note this post exempt under section 7 (2) (e) and (f) of The Sex Discrimination Act 1975 and therefore open to female applicants only. The successful applicant will be subject to an enhanced DBS check.
