We are looking to welcome an Operational Risk Administrator into our diverse and high performing service. Based at our Service Headquarters in Birstall, Leicester. You will join us on a Full Time, Permanent basis (37 hours per week) and in return you will receive a competitive salary of £23,893 to £24,702 per annum.
Leicestershire Fire and Rescue Service are not limited to firefighting. We also respond to a wide range of incidents, increasingly those that involve our rescue capability. The Operational Risk Administratorrole:
As the Operational Risk Administrator, you will provide a high level of administrative support to the Health and Safety and Operational Assurance departments, with a keen eye for attention to detail. With duties including taking accurate minutes of meetings, creating dashboards, and holding administrative rights to certain health and safety training platforms.
The Health and Safety department looks after the health and safety of all our staff including our members of response who respond to a wide variety of incidents including Fires, Road Traffic Collisions and other rescues including from at height and water. As a member of the health and safety team you will be ensuring the service meets its legal duties and expectations of the public in resolving incidents.
Skills we are looking for in our Operational Risk Administrator:
The successful candidate will engage with diverse service members, ranging from senior managers to operational firefighters. They should possess experience in office-based administrative roles and proficiency in utilising Microsoft 365 office packages. Additionally, the candidate should demonstrate analytical skills for data analysis and report generation. Strong communication abilities, particularly in customer service, are essential for success in this role.
The successful candidate will possess good time management and communication skills, with a willingness and desire to continually improve themselves and the service as well as help in recognising and reducing the impacts of hazards.
You do not need to hold a formalised health and safety qualification, as any health and safety training and qualifications will be provided as part of the role. We provide excellent opportunities for development and career progression.
