As Operations Area Lead you will join our UK Operationsteam in Milton Keynes and play an essential part in our mission to provide the world with affordable and environment-friendly deliveries. Every day, our robots are completing thousands of autonomous deliveries in the US, UK and Europe, and we’re hitting records on an almost weekly basis.
Our onsite operations teams are dedicated to ensuring the safe and efficient movement of our robots.
Your main responsibilities are:
- Leading operations across 2 sites covering several neighborhoods in Milton Keynes, Leeds, Trafford and Wakefield
- Managing, training and developing a team of 7 people including robot technicians and fleet assistants, and scheduling coverage for uninterrupted service
- Managing budgets for UK operations, including onsite budgets
- Developing strategies and systems to effectively manage multiple cities and business regions. This includes implementing change strategies, cost metrics, and determining the optimal delivery locations
- Traveling as part of your regular duties to assist as we expand launching new cities
- Driving a high-performance culture by setting high expectations leads to achieving outstanding results
- Monitoring daily operations, making sure targets are met and responding to any issues efficiently
- Collaborating with different internal and external stakeholders to enhance our delivery performance by identifying inefficiencies and devising creative solutions
- Continuously keep an eye out for how our service can better serve our customers and the community as a whole

- 3+ years of experience in operations and people management
- Experience leading a team of at least 5 individual contributors, demonstrating strong leadership skills
- Passion for tackling new and challenging tasks, with the ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously
- Thrive on taking the initiative and eager to learn on the go, adapting to change and uncertainty
- Comfortable working independently without a direct manager onsite
- Good communication skills to collaborate effectively with internal and external stakeholders
- Ability to prioritize work efficiently, ensuring tasks are managed effectively
