Operations Associate - Loans - Non-Traded Operations - Private Bank

Excellent opportunity opens for an Operations Associate/ Operations Analyst/ Operations Supervisor with a strong Loans background to join a growingPrivate Bank. The successful candidate will work closely with the Non-trade Loans Manager and play a critical role in ensuring the efficient and accurate processing of loan transactions and related activities such as:

• To supervise the accurate and efficient processing, reporting and answering of queries relating to products handled by Loans Admin Operations.
• Identify and implement improvements to systems, processes and procedures to enhance operational efficiency and reduce costs & or expand capacity volume.

Key Responsibilities; 

• Day-to-day operational supervisory and support for Loans Admin.
• Development of staff (including cross-training), systems and procedures.
• People Management: covering day-to-day people management and assisting the non-traded Operations Manager with performance appraisals in both written and verbal formats.
• Check / Authorise / Deal transactions, manual entries, payments and communications.
• Check / Authorise static data.
• Check / Authorise New Loans and Safe Custody.
• Review and maintain suspense accounts used within Loans Admin and ensure all suspense accounts are reconciled and reviewed monthly with aged items noted.
• Assist with Operational Risk framework for Loans Admin, the resulting KRI and ongoing monthly monitoring and reporting into the broader operational management reporting status.
• Ad hoc tasks delegated by Manager Non-Traded Operations
• Cover for Manager Non-Traded Operations with regards to Loans Admin in their absence.
• Seek out and implement improvements to the effectiveness and efficiency of processes in all areas.
• Provide support and cover for Trade Finance.

Qualification & Experience

• 3+ years’ experience within a similar environment with some experience surrounding people leadership skills and day to day people management.
• Demonstrate a good level of ability in both English and Mathematics.
• Comprehensive knowledge of all loans related products and payments.
• Knowledge of accounting for loans.
• P.C. literate, particularly Excel.
