Role Summary
We have an exciting opportunity for an Operations Manager (Hard FM) to join our Facilities Management team across the North and East of Scotland. This is a permanent full-time position working 40 hours per week, Monday to Friday from 8am-4:30pm.
The successful candidate will be responsible for managing the service delivery of their allocated contracts. Working with service delivery and project managers, engineers, and service partners to deliver all planned and reactive works to ensure the clients site are maintained to an excellent standard. You must be client focused and able to manage a large portfolio of sites without compromising on service levels.
Main Responsibilities
· Take ownership of operations, commercial and contractual obligation.
· Lead contract ‘scope’ discussions and development, ensure out of contract works are managed by operations teams with full attention to revenue recovery.
· Ensure / drive consistency of process and commercial behavior across contracts.
· Drive month-end billing processes to maximise revenues and minimise work in progress.
· Identify and implement contract efficiencies in conjunction with operations teams.
· Oversee and support quote / tender submissions.
· Negotiate contract agreements for subcontractor services contracts.
· Own and develop the forecasting and budgeting plan monthly with the support of the operations teams.
· Take part in monthly finance and operational review meetings and support Operations teams to meet budgets and targets.
· Negotiation of prices and obtaining quotes for works, materials, and plant as required in compliance with company procedure.
· To build strong relationships with customer to ensure open communication and expectations of invoicing is always met.
Experience & Qualifications
- Minimum 5 years’ experience preferable
- Ideally educated to Degree level or similar in a business or technical discipline.
- Experience of working within a Hard Services FM contract environment
- Experience of developing client relationships at a stakeholder level is essential.
- Strong PC literacy, with experience in extracting, collating, and presenting performance data.
- Excellent planning, organising, prioritisation and project management skills.
- Strong results focus.
- Effective problem-solving and decision-making.
- Will demonstrate sound financial acumen and contract fiscal management.
- Full driving license
