Charity People proudly joins forces with an incredible charity dedicated to transforming lives through its innovative addiction recovery programmes. They are on the search for an exceptional Operations Manager to lead their dynamic and committed team.

Job Title:Operations Manager
Hours: 30-37.5 hours, full-time, or potential for 4 days
Salary: £30,000 to £35,000 p.a., depending on experience, with an annual review.
Contract: 12 months (with a view to going permanent after 12 months)
Location: Remote but will require regular travel to different locations.
Benefits: 25 days of annual leave plus bank holidays, with increments of 2 days after 2 years and an additional increase after 5 years.
The charity pension scheme features a 3% employee contribution and a 5% employer contribution, supported by an opt-out system.
Employee Assistance Program (EAP) provides financial advice and offers 6 counseling sessions, complemented by a standard EAP for comprehensive support.

About the Charity:

The charity we are partnering with is at the forefront of revolutionising addiction recovery nationwide. Their evidence-based 4-Point program empowers individuals through Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT) and Motivational Interviewing (MI). It is commissioned by different types of organisations including the NHS, prisons, and other charities. They are making a remarkable impact and transforming lives.

The Role:

As a vital member of the Chief Executive's Office, the Operational Manager holds a key role in ensuring the operational functionality and long-term sustainability of this esteemed charity. Working closely with and reporting directly to the Chief Executive Officer, this role is integral to maintaining visibility among partners, volunteers, and users of the Recovery Programme(s).

Role Highlights:

  • Lead the operational team for successful service delivery.
  • Provide guidance and support to Community Coordinators and project leads.
  • Drive charity goals outlined in the strategic plan, contributing to growth.
  • Engage in operational excellence across all dimensions of the role, aiming to enhance efficiency, innovation, and overall effectiveness.

About You:

As the Operations Manager for this charity, you will have experience in a similar or relevant sector-whether in the charity, public, or private sector. You will be an advocate for the charity, understanding the complexity of what it offers and delivers. You will be the driving force behind their mission, bringing your operational acumen and compassionate leadership. This includes:

  • Operational Excellence: Exceptional skills in operational and financial management, ensuring our charity thrives.
  • Leadership Expertise: Over 5 years of dynamic leadership, driving team success.
  • Remote Team Leadership: Proven skill in guiding high-performing remote teams, motivating, and delivering results across distances.
  • Mentorship & Growth: Trained or hands-on experience in leadership and mentoring, dedicated to fostering development.
  • Safeguarding Champion: Experience in safeguarding, particularly with vulnerable individuals, emphasising well-being commitment.
  • Communication Mastery: Unparalleled communication skills, adept in conveying their mission through various channels.
  • Tech Savvy: Proficient in data analysis, report generation, showcasing tech-savvy expertise for operational innovation.
